James sent in his Holdsworth Competition steel frame and carbon forks for a refurb, it was originally painted in the traditional orange and yellow Holdsworth racing colours, but this time around he wanted something more traditional.

Inspired by the stainless steel and titanium raw frames with etched logos and matte black carbon forks, James tasked us with coming up with something similar – the frame itself is made from Columbus steel and unfortunately isn’t stainless so we went down the paint route.

The frame was hydroblasted to remove all old paintwork and then repainted with a lovely Lamborghini Titanium Silver, the logos were done a shade or two darker to provide a faux-etched look, and the orange and blue bands were added as a nod to the frames racing heritage.

In order to match his matte black stem, bars and seat post, the forks where painted in a solid matte black to finish this classic looking bike.
